How to recycle plastic bags and other stretchy plastic

Won Project
Won Project accepts clean stretchy plastic. To help out the volunteers, cellophane tape or paper labelling should be cut off from the plastics and discarded prior to donation.

The plastic film covering UHT milk/yoghurt boxes when u buy them in packs of 6
Ziplocs, ziplocs used to package medication
Ecommerce plastic packaging envelopes
Stretchy plastics wrapping toilet paper rolls

Stretchy plastic bread bags
Stretchy produce bags from the grocery store
Stretchy plastic from ice bags
Won does not accept plastic that cannot stretch. Such as:
Plastic foil (like from bags of chips)
Laminated plastic
Hard plastics
Every kilogram is worth 5 baht and proceeds go to a reliable environmental foundation. You can find a map of drop-off points closest to you here. There are over a hundred!

BOPE
If you have plastic bags that are no longer needed, you can send them to BOPE. They will recycle plastic bags and use them to create handcrafted items.
Those who send in 50 plastic bags, BOPE will give you a complimentary coin purse made with recycled materials. Unwanted plastic bags can be sent to their locations in Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Alternatively, you can use 7-Eleven’s SPEED-D courier service (free shipping with a minimum spending of 50 baht per receipt at 7-Eleven). Packages will be sent to 7-Eleven branch of your choosing. Please inform that staff that you would like to send the packages to:

Cir Plas
Cir Plas accepts single-use plastics numbers 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. They also accept plastic that comes from packaging envelopes. Their instructions are:
Step 1: Remove all label and postal stickers. If you failed to complete this step, your plastic postal envelopes won’t be able to get recycled. Only clean plastics can go through recycling process. Also, put your bubble wrap aside and send them along with the envelopes after completing step 2.

Step 2: If some labels are too difficult to remove, cut them out with a pair of scissors. This way the remaining plastic can still be recycled.

Step 3: Voila, there you have it! Clean plastics, ready for recycling process. Send them to CirPlas along with your other single-use plastic items

Drop Off Point Thailand Health Promotion Foundation
There are two drop-off bins - one for hard plastic and another for stretchy plastic. It is located in the lobby of the office of the Thailand Health Promotion Foundation located on 99/8 Ngam Dupli Alley that is adjacent to Suan Plu Park.
