Chili-Vinegar Packets
Testimony 1: Don't throw away vinegar with chili packets that come with your food order. They can be used to repel or kill insects and diseases on plants. This Youtuber mixed 3-4 bulbs of garlic, lightly crushed, 8 packets of chili vinegar, using the vinegar only, and 3 cups of water and left them covered in a bowl overnight. After straining through cloth to remove all small bits that can clog the spray nozzle, use 1 part concentrate to 2 parts of water in a spray bottle . The concentrate can be stored in the shade for many months. It can deal with aphids, thrips, common cutworm, beetles, mildew, kill fungus and bacteria and kill and repel insects.
IV lInes can be reused into watering systems for plants. Especially useful when traveling on a long trip.
Testimony 2: Back home most TP rolls are water-soluble but this advanced technology hasn't come here yet In the meantime I think I found the second best thing. Making little pots for your seedlings!
Cardboard
Certain cardboard can be broken down and cut into small pieces for compost. Coated cardboard, cannot be used for compost, but uncoated without labels can.
Testimony: I would like to pass on some information about paper composting from my experience.
What's for recycling and what's for composting?
Uncoated cardboard that is not shiny with no heavy dyes can be composted
Shiny cardboard is coated in plastic and it can’t be composted
Make sure the uncoated cardboard is free from tape or labels. Tape and labels are also not compostable.
Newspaper and other paper is safe to use as mulch or in compost.
